The Rajasthan Mahila Kalyan Mandal, Chachiyawas conducted a training session for the members of the faculty on May 18, 2023 on PRASHAT, a Disability Screening Checklist for Schools developed by NCERT. The resource persons Ms. Kshama Kaushik, Chief Functionary &Secretary, Social Worker & Special Educator Rajasthan Mahila Kalyan Mandal, Chachiyawas; Mr. Tarun Sharma, Additional Director Education, RMKM, Chachiyawas and Ms. Anjali Sen, a Psychologist, RMKM, Chachiyawas made the teachers aware about the RPwd Act 2016 and 21 Disability conditions for persons with disabilities. The objective was to increase the capacity of general education teachers to identify students with disabilities in mainstream classrooms using the PRASHAT Tool and to screen children at preliminary levels and refer them for further identification at assessment camps. It will also help them to make necessary adaptations and modifications to the curriculum for students suffering from various types of disability.
