The students of Grades VI to VIII participated in the Inter-House English Debate (Turncoat) on May 3, 2024. Two participants from each House presented their views, debating to and fro on the topics – 'School uniforms make school a more effective place to learn' and & 'Laptops should be allowed in classrooms' respectively. In this novel form of debate, the speakers deliberated and presented their views from all perspectives and switched over their contention with every cue of the bell. Each speaker was allotted 3 minutes to express his views. The participants of Blue House secured the First position, followed by Gold House and Red House at the Second and the Third positions respectively.
The debate was a brilliant learning experience to enhance the critical thinking skills and confidence of the speakers.
