The Twenty-second Dr. (Mrs.) Deepa Martins Memorial Annual Inter-School English Debate was successfully hosted by our school on August 21, 2025. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 26 students representing 13 schools in a dynamic impromptu deliberation.
Participants showcased exemplary research, critical thinking, and persuasive oratory skills as they debated the topic: ‘Climate Change is the greatest threat to humanity in the 21st century.’
The team from Sophia Senior Secondary School, Ajmer, emerged victorious, clinching the first position and the coveted Running Trophy. St. Stephen’s Senior Secondary School was adjudged the First Runner-up. In the individual category, Hiya Morani from our school made us proud by securing the third position.
In line with our tradition of nurturing young talent, the school also hosted two inter-school competitions: Battle of the Boards – a Chess Tournament, and Kavita Srijan – a Hindi Poem Composition Contest. These platforms aimed to foster creativity, strategic thinking, and expressive abilities among students from the primary and middle school sections.
In Kavita Srijan, Grade VIII participants from eleven schools demonstrated both poetic flair and artistic creativity by illustrating their verses with imaginative visuals. Based on the theme ‘Tyoharon ke Rang’, the poems beautifully reflected the spirit and cultural richness of Indian festivals. St. Stephen’s Senior Secondary School, represented by Kashvi Choudhary and Safia Bano, secured the first place.
Simultaneously, the Chess Tournament brought together Grade V students from seven schools, competing in an individual knock-out format. The event highlighted strategic acumen and sportsmanship. In the girls’ category, Yashika Keswani from St. Stephen’s secured the second position.
Both contests were conducted with great enthusiasm, setting a commendable benchmark for future inter-school engagements and reaffirming our commitment to fostering holistic student development.
